Statement of co-founder Dave Kugelman:

The Yuba-Sutter Christian Business Alliance was founded out of a heart to encourage and challenge Christians out of ineffective, lukewarm Christianity. For many Christians, their Christianity is only evident on Sundays when they go to church. Others would only be aware of their faith in Christ if they actually saw them coming out of church on a Sunday morning. For me (David Kugelman) I fell into that category. I began to realize that there is no victory living a lukewarm Christian life. God convicted me with the verse:

I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot.
I wish you were either one or the other!
[16] So, because you are lukewarm—neither hot nor cold—
I am about to spit you out of my mouth.
Rev. 3:15-16 (NIV)

Lukewarm Christians will never impact the world for Jesus Christ. Approximately 80% of Americans claim to be Christians. Need I say more? And if you re-read the aforementioned verse, you will realize that Jesus is rejecting the half-hearted follower. Think of it this way: complete and total obedience to the Father brings victory (blessings) while compromise brings defeat.
