What CBA Means To Me

* In business today, I believe we worship "busyness". If you ask a colleague, "How's business?", they will go to great lengths to tell you how busy they are. "Just swamped!", "No time for anything.", "If you could see my desk!" Our culture relates busyness to success and prestige. In the current economic down turn, busyness is especially coveted. I routinely make the decision to be too busy with my work to spend time with Jesus. By personally committing to make time for the CBA lunch, twice a month, I find that God will use the speaker's words to say something that I know is a personal message from Jesus to me. I get renewed and empowered in my walk with Christ in the middle of the day, in the middle of the week. I come away joyful and excited about my faith in the Lord, from the fellowship of believers and how Christ uses the speaker's testimony to speak directly to me. Debra Folsom

We meet the first and third Wednesday of the month from noon to 1 p.m. to build up, encourage and challenge Christians in the work place to be effective representatives of Jesus Christ. Attend a lunch meeting to hear an inspiring testimony from our featured speaker and enjoy the fellowship of other believers. Our meetings are informal and friendly.

 

We meet the 4th. Wednesday of the month from 12:15 to 1 p.m. to lift up our community in prayer at: River Bend Park at the first gazebo. Take this opportunity to invite Christ to positively impact Oroville. Everyone welcome.
